Research
Research Overview
My research program focuses on the area of computational intelligence (swarm intelligence, evolutionary computation, neural networks, fuzzy reasoning). In particular, computational intelligence methods and algorithms are applied to optimization problems in areas such as data mining (including big data), image processing, privacy and security, speech recognition. In addition, research in the area of machine learning is conducted. Please have a look at my list of publications to get an idea about the particular projects that I am interested in.
Prospective Students
I am interested in working with motivated and hard-working PhD students in the area of computational intelligence. Students should have a good academic record with demonstrated strengths in artificial intelligence. If you are interested in joining my research group please send me an email. More information about graduate studies at NDSU can be found at: https://www.ndsu.edu/gradschool.
