Library ResourcesReply-To: Nem W Schlecht nem@empyrean.lib.ndsu.nodak.edu As promised, here's a quick list of links/resources to check out on finding info. for your paper: The NDSU Library Homepage: http://www.lib.ndsu.nodak.edu/ - From this page, connect to and do a search with InfoTrac, EBSCO, or ProQuest. There is some journal duplication between these three sources. InfoTrac: http://www.odin.nodak.edu/authgate/ EBSCO: https://www.lib.ndsu.nodak.edu/ejourn/ebsco/ ProQuest: https://www.lib.ndsu.nodak.edu/ejourn/proquest/ - Use WebSPIRS and select databases in the INSPEC group and then do a term search. If the article is available online there will be an LHM entry with a URL. WebSPIRS: https://www.lib.ndsu.nodak.edu/spirsdist/ - Use the Ejourn system to search for a journal. Ejourn: https://www.lib.ndsu.nodak.edu/ejourn/ - Of course, you can search WebPals as well, or even ODIN. These are the online Library "card catalogs" for NDSU/MSU and UND, respectively. WebPals: http://www.lib.ndsu.nodak.edu/newsite/Databases/webpals/ ODIN: http://webcat.odin.nodak.edu/ - On the NDSU Library homepage, there is a link at the top to "Databases" which contains a large number of online resources. Some that apply to us: ACM Digital Library: http://www.acm.org/dl/search.html EI Compendex: http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/search/database/compendex Virtual Library: http://cuisung.unige.ch/vl/Computing.html - And of course, the info available on the Web on MUD/MOO Environments: Yahoo MUD: http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=MUD Yahoo MOO: http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=MOO TECFA: http://tecfa.unige.ch/edu-comp/WWW-VL/eduVR-page.html MUD Resource Collection: http://www.godlike.com/muds/ Many times, the article or journal you want will NOT be available online or locally through one of our subscription services. However, most of these articles are obtainable in only a day or two by submitting an ILL request: ILL Periodical request: http://www.lib.ndsu.nodak.edu/ill/ill-periodical.html Many times, ILL will be able to do an electronic delivery. In this case, you are given a URL that will allow you to access the journal as a PDF 5 times or for 14 days, whichever comes first.
From: Otto.Borchert@ndsu.nodak.edu I remembered a link I had years ago, and lo and behold, it's still being updated. http://www.mudconnector.com (There are 14 entries for Educational MUDs)
