Advance Team: mission and membership
The advance team should do the following:
- identify potential "clients" in the immediate region
- local school districts (West Fargo, Fargo, Moorhead,
Dilworth, private schools: Catholic, Oak Grove Lutheran, etc)
- potential WITHIN the clients (business classes, computer
clubs, DECA, Junior Achievement, FBLA, etc.)
- if these fail, college level participants
- draft a invitation/flyer (single sheet of paper, perhaps
3-fold)
- describing the general outlines of the project
- describing the game and its learning goals
- listing support (ancillary materials (lesson plans, workbooks), tech support)
- providing contact information
- present their work to the group for comment
- make initial phone contact
- investigate access/permission issues (need for consent,
administrative vs. parental)
- investigate school technology (clusters with PC/Windows or
Mac OSX required)
- organize appointments for the purpose of giving demonstrations
- make visits, with accompanying tech team (to solve potential
cluster administation issues)
