• Log on to the Blackwood MOO
  Host: lions.cs.ndsu.nodak.edu
  Port: 7777
  Use either
  • a standard telnet client (as used in the example at First Transcript)
  • the MacMOOSE client installed in the Mac clusters in the IACC
  • the tkmoo-light client installed in the PC cluster in the IACC
  • Note: to get copies of these freeware clients, MacMOOSE or tkmoo-light, go to The MooAdmin Page and follow the instructions.
• Use your email name as both login name and password
• @describe yourself
• Find your Ante Room, according to the first letter of your last name
• @dig a room for yourself
• @describe your room in whatever (tasteful) way you choose
• @dig a back room for yourself
• print a transcript to hand in that shows your character and your room descriptions and THAT INCLUDES PROPERLY FORMATTED @ADD-EXIT AND @ADD-ENTRACE COMMANDS

Addendum: the @move command will be useful

help @move
Syntax:  @move <thing> to <place>

Move the specified object to the specified location.  This is
not guaranteed to work; in particular, the object must agree to
be moved and the destination must agree to allow the object in.
This is usually the case, however.  The special case where
<thing> is 'me' is useful for teleporting yourself around.
